Edward Angwin brings to Watson Law Firm decades of courtroom experience and a track record of multi-million-dollar verdicts and settlements. He focuses his practice on personal injury and wrongful death cases, as well as business disputes; he is licensed to practice law in Montana, California, and Alabama.
Ed’s diverse and vast experiences allow him to perform well in high pressure environments, including numerous cases against drug and medical device manufacturers. He served as counsel in the case of DiCosolo vs. Janssen Pharmaceuticals, which resulted in an $18 million judgment for his client and in the case of Hendelson v. Alza, where the jury returned a $5.5 verdict. He has been counsel in cases representing hundreds of plaintiffs which have resulted in settlements and verdicts totaling over $100,000,000.
Recently, Ed has successfully represented clients in business-to-business disputes, where he obtained mid to upper level six-figure judgments. His resume of successful advocacy extends to the Supreme Court of Alabama and the United States Courts of Appeals for the Second and Eleventh Circuits.
He honed his hard work ethic and astute knowledge at the Cumberland School of Law, where he graduated Cum Laude in 1987. Among his numerous academic achievements was his election to the academic honorary society Curia Honoris and his position as editor for the Cumberland Law Review.
Following law school, Ed attended the Master of Securities Law program at Georgetown University. He then served a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Richard L. Jones, Senior Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of Alabama, as well as a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Robert B. Propst, United States District Court Judge for the Northern District of Alabama.
Ed found Montana while looking for a healthy place to raise his growing family. His four children graduated from Bozeman High School, and his oldest daughter and two sons have attended Montana State University. He is an avid foodie who loves to travel and spend time with his children and grandson.
